In dem Song „no matter where i touch” geht es um das haltlose Gefühl, sich selbst nicht zu spüren. Die zentrale Zeile „no matter where i touch, i just can’t feel myself today” beschreibt eben dieses Gefühl. Der Anti-chorus in dem Lied, der auf eher vibige Strophen folgt, welche im Verlauf zunehmend an Momentum gewinnen, soll den Einbruch symbolisieren, zu dem es in einem solchen Augenblick kommt und der einem den Boden zu entziehen scheint. Das Drumherum verschwindet, es ist plötzlich sehr still – fast wie schwebend ist die Stimmung nun haltlos, etwas verloren.

Der Song ist ein sehr persönliches Projekt für mich, und zugleich ein nicht unintensiver Prozess, mich mit dem Thema so öffentlich zu zeigen – und das als ersten Release. „Selbst schuld“ könnte man jetzt denken. Und tue ich manchmal auch. Aber zugleich ist es auch genau die Art von Musik, für die ich stehen will. Echte Themen, auch unangenehme Themen.
